Christmas Tree - Glass Shards with Red & Green Decorations
This tree is made of 2 layers "clear" shards of glass that have been nipped and placed onto a base, then fired rounding the edges slightly... don't want anyone cutting themselves! Then taking prefired "red & green" glass balls and firing it again in the kiln, heating it so they are permanently attached but not so much that they become flat. Tree measures 6 1/4" top to bottom and 6 1/2" wide.
There is a base that is glued onto the tree, left to cure for 48 hours, that sits firmly (not permanently) into the solid wooden base that does light up. Wooden base measures: 7 ½" x 3 ½ x 1 ¼". The light (night light style) has an on/off switch.
Note: I have added exactly 25 red/green decorations to represent the 25 days leading up to Christmas day... just my thing. :)
