Floral Candle Holder @ Unite Store

Measures 5 x 5" approx. Was created by using 8.5" sq piece of clear, decorating it while flat. I used different floral murinni, glass beads and stringers. Then a light dusting of green frit to the base.

Then into the kiln where it is taken up to 1400 degrees which overall takes about 24 hours. Then it is draped over a stainless steel cup which has been prepared along with special papers so it will release after. Again, back into the kiln where it goes up to 1325 degrees, takes about another 20 hours or so, then it is done. 

They do refer to this style as a Handkerchief due to the folding of the glass that happens as it slumps over the mold. I would suggest using a candle within a glass holder for ease of cleaning.
